Obituary

IRON BELT, Wis. - Cliff Ruha of Iron Belt, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at age 85. His loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ruha, and his cat, Keekers, and canine buddy, Scrappy, surrounded him with care, comfort, dignity and love at home following his incredibly valiant battle against cancer. They were all supported with the compassionate home hospice care assistance of Mary Leinon.

Cliff was the son of Oscar and Helen Ruha and had fond and lasting memories of his childhood. Cliff volunteered to be drafted into the U.S. Army during the Berlin crisis and he was a proud veteran. He returned to the area and wore many hats during his years of employment. Cliff's
passion was to work outdoors and he took joy in the simple things, such as mowing lawn and clearing snow. He loved all of God's creatures and provided pampered lives for the pets that came under his care. Cliff loved to sit outside with a beer in his hand while feeding and watching the birds in his back yard.

Cliff is survived by his children, Dale and his wife, Diana (who Cliff affectionately called Mountain Mama), Kevin, Krissy and her husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Ryan and Lillyanna; a brother, Roger and his wife, Sue; Scrappy and Keekers; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his sisters, Gayle, Audrey and Barbra; his sister-in-law, Ferne; and two brothers-in-law, Chubby and Doug.

Special thanks to Cliff's nephew, Brett Buccanero, for transport to and from Madison where Cliff's cancer journey began. Additional thanks to Regional Hospices Services and Palliative Care and Lakeside Memorial Chapel, Inc. for their assistance and particularly to Jerald Rocco for his
respectful and dignity focused care following Cliff's passing.

Per Cliff's request, there will be no funeral service. If you knew Cliff, you know he would prefer that you crack a beer and toast towards the sky in his honor and that you all stand watch over his beloved wife Mary in his absence.
