Obituary

IRONWOOD, Mich. – Clark M. Torma, 63, of Ironwood Township, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Clark was born on Feb. 27, 1963, in Ironwood, a son of Maryann and Dick Torma. He attended Luther L. Wright High School and graduated in 1981. He continued his education at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis for welding.

After graduating, Clark joined the plumbers and pipefitters union. For more than 40 years, he worked proudly as a Union welder, earning the respect of coworkers and friends through his strong work ethic, skill and loyalty. Clark took great pride in his trade and the life he built for his family through honest hard work. He was a member of Local 111 in the Upper Peninsula and a former member of Local 11 in Duluth, Minnesota.

Above all else, Clark was a loving family man. He was a devoted husband, a caring father to Kayla, and a proud papa to Ryder and Presley, who brought endless joy to his life. He treasured every moment spent with his family and created memories that will be carried in their hearts forever.

Clark found happiness in the simple things he loved most - hunting in the woods, fishing and ice fishing on quiet mornings, tending to his garden, cooking meals for family and friends, and spending time working in the yard. Whether outdoors, in the kitchen, or surrounded by family, he lived a life rooted in love, strength and appreciation for the people around him.

Clark will be remembered for his kind heart, steady hands, sense of humor and unwavering love for those closest to him. His legacy of hard work, devotion and love will continue to live on through his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Clark is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jodi; a daughter, Kayla Lichtenberger (Bill Willis); grandchildren, Ryder and Presley Lichtenberger, and Lily and Charlotte Willis; his mother, MaryAnn; his father-in-law, Jordan Hein; and his sister-in-law, Leslee Hein (Roger Boyer).

He was preceded in death by father, Dick; a daughter, Carly Jo; and a brother, Rick.

At his request, cremation has taken place.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Clark on Friday, June 12, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Aurora Athletic Club, 101 Penokee Road, in Ironwood.

Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed online at lakesidememorialchapel.com.
