IRONWOOD, Mich. – Clara Marie Jordan, 100, a lifelong resident of W. Larch St., in Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at her home.
The former Clara Bruzdzenski was born on Nov. 6, 1925, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Peter and Pat (Guzek) Bruzdzenski. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School.
Clara was united in marriage to Theodore R. Jordan in Ironwood. He preceded her in death in 1980.
She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood and the former St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Clara was employed at St. James Hotel in downtown Ironwood.
Surviving are three daughters, Geri (Arjay) Vaughn, Badin, North Carolina, and Kathy (Bobby) Jordan and Patty (John) Alonen, both of Ironwood; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Renee Jordan; and six siblings.
Out of respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 8, from 8:30 to 9 a.m., in the St. Joseph Family Room at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 108 S. Marquette St., in Ironwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m., with the Very Rev. Brian C. Gerber, celebrant.
Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
Luncheon will be served in the parish hall immediately upon return from the cemetery.
