Obituary

FARMINGTON, Minn. - On June 18, 2025, Christopher W. "Chris" Ravelli, of Farmington, passed away at the home of his parents in Ironwood, Michigan. He was 44 years of age.

Chris was born on Feb. 17, 1981, in Ironwood, to Thomas and Sharon (Carlson) Ravelli. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1999. Chris went on to study at Dunwoody Institute, Minneapolis, where he received his associate degree in graphic arts.

Shortly after his graduation, Chris was hired as a graphic artist for CaDan Technologies. The company soon decided to close its graphic arts department. The company recognized his potential and offered Chris a salesperson job selling computers to companies throughout the United States. At first Chris was reluctant to work as a salesman, but he gave it a try. Not only did Chris succeed, he remained in this position for almost 20 years where he became their top salesperson.

Chris was a devoted Green Bay Packer fan, even though he lived in Minnesota. Chris loved to fish, go camping and bowling. He enjoyed going to Back to The Fifties car show, the Minnesota State Fair and to antique sales. He was always on the lookout for that special item. One of his special finds was a wheelchair from the 1800's. Chris enjoyed playing board games and somehow seemed to always win. Chris had a soft spot for animals and was always in the company of one of his cats.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Carlson and Dennis and Judy Ravelli; his godparents, Donald and Joellyn Pezzetti; and his uncle, Michael Ravelli.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Sharon; his grandmother, Dolores Luoma; aunts and uncles, Gary and Ginny Carlson, Randy and Mary Carlson and Sherry Ravelli; cousins, AJ and Stephen Carlson, Liz Carlson and John and Justin Ravelli; and numerous other family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, to be determined.

Chris was under the care of Regional Hospice Services and Palliative Care and we would like to thank Sara, Paula, Carol, Dr. Rocco and Matt for their exceptional care and compassion during his illness. We would also like to thank Jerald Rocco and Mike Yon.

Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel, Inc., in Wakefield, Michigan, is assisting the family with the arrangements. To send online condolences or to share a memory, please go to lakesidememorialchapel.com.
