Obituary

RAMSAY, Mich. – Bruce V. Jacobson, age 62, of Ramsay, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

Bruce was born on July 26, 1963, in Bessemer Township, a son of Bernard A. "Bunny" and Barbara M. "Barb" (Nelson) Jacobson.

He proudly worked as an operating engineer where he traveled the country with Northern Clearing Inc.

Bruce was passionate about the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, especially bird hunting with his Bernese Mountain dog.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Heather; sons, Michael (Nicole) and Benjamin; daughter, Michelle; and grandchildren, JJ and Jayden Bailey. His loss is also felt by his siblings, Terry Peterson (Ed Balduc), Bernie Jacobson and Brian Jacobson; his father-in-law, Lyle Thompson; his brothers-in-law, Mickey (Dana) Peterson and Chad (Melissa) Thompson; his sister-in-law, Stacy (Aaron) Petersen; and special friend, Debbie Maki.

He was predeceased by his father, Bunny; his mother, Barb Watilo; his brother-in-law, Tom Peterson; and his mother-in-law, Vicky Linskie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Bruce's life on Saturday, Sept. 13, beginning at 1 p.m., at the American Legion Geroux Post 11, 605 River St., in Wakefield.
