RAMSAY, Mich. - Beverly Ann Ikola, age 79, of Ramsay, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.

She was born on Feb. 11, 1946, in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Mildred (Harris) and Douglas Miller.

Beverly was married to her loving husband, Roger Ikola, for 26 years, and was previously married to John R. Heikkinen for 27 years. Beverly worked in the restaurant industry and owned a Mr. Donut Shop prior to a long career at the Ironwood Daily Globe.

Beverly eagerly served her community by being a Bessemer Township trustee, as well as a member of several committees such as the Gogebic County Trail Authority Board. Beverly loved collecting Blue Willow stoneware and has a gorgeous collection displayed around her home.

Beverly Ikola will be remembered for her laughter, long conversations, love for her family, her dogs and Christian faith. She dedicated her life to her family and always had time and a word of advice for those she loved. She enjoyed her dogs, fishing and traveling. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Roger; siblings, Susan (David) Dray, Dale (Nancy) Miller and Douglas (Betty) Miller; children, Laurie (Jim) Erickson, John Heikkinen Jr., and Jacob (Janet) Heikkinen; stepchildren, John (Wendy) Ikola, Patty (Todd) Borseth, and Roger Ikola Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua (Rylie) Erickson, Elizabeth (John) Mendez, Charles (Kaitlyn) Erickson, Gabriel Erickson, Andrew (Emily) Erickson, Jacob Heikkinen, Reece Heikkinen, Carter Heikkinen, Austine Heikkinen, Chandler Heikkinen, Connor Heikkinen, Roger (Danielle) Ikola III, Robert (Chelsea) Ikola, Natasha (Marcus) Thomas and Alainna (Eric) Chan; and nine great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brenda Heikkinen; a grandson, Preston Heikkinen; and a brother, Larry Miller.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ramsay, with the Rev. Stephen Pope officiating.

A committal service and interment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.
