WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Arthrene Elmire Plumley, 87, of Wakefield, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, with her family at her side.

Artie was born on March 15, 1938, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Arthur and Ruth (Stanley) Marcelain.

She loved reading, cooking, gardening, her pets, having coffee with friends at

Randall Bakery in Wakefield, and watching Judge Judy on television.

She held several jobs throughout her life, however being a wife, mother and grandmother were most rewarding.

Artie is survived by her children, William (Bridget) Gross, Cynthia Gross, Dena

(Jose) Barrera and Shannon Miller; two sisters, Sondra Lewin and Linda Morphew; two stepchildren, Colleen (David) McPherson and Michael (Melissa) Plumley; her stepdaughter-in-law, Melissa Plumley; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, William Plumley; a stepson,

Brian Plumley; and two sisters, Bette Kidd and Donna Box.

Artie will be dearly missed by family and friends who knew her.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
