'Tote' Trolla
November 19, 1951 – August 8, 2025
LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. – Anthony George "Tote" Trolla, age 73, of Lake Gogebic, passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota, with his loving wife at his side.
Anthony was born on Nov. 19, 1951, in Wakefield.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Northern Michigan University.
Anthony owned the Chalet Party Store in Wakefield for 25 years, and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 31 years. He retired in 2006.
He loved playing baseball, ice fishing and the Green Bay Packers.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie; a son, Jon Trolla; his son-in-law, Brian Gscheidle; four grandchildren, Brian Gscheidle Jr., Alize Gscheidle, Vincent Trolla and Gabriel Trolla; his father, Anthony John Trolla; a brother, Joe Trolla; a sister, Barbara (John) Siira; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dennis Bertetto; a special uncle and aunt, Ronald and Geri Kremposki; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Kremposki) Trolla; a daughter, Tina Gscheidle, on Oct. 6, 2018; and a brother, James Trolla.
Out of respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 407 Ascherman St., in Wakefield, with the Rev. Christian Flagstadt, celebrant.
Rite of Committal and interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
Luncheon will be served in the church hall upon return from the cemetery.
