Anna-Marie Randall, 86, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly late Wednesday night, Oct. 26, 2011, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 16, 1925, in Wakefield, the daughter of Anton "Tony" and Alma (Genord) Pitrone. Anna-Marie graduated from Wakefield High School with the class of 1943.
On Oct. 19, 1946, she married Roger Bernard Randall at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield.
Anna-Marie and her husband currently own and operate the Roger Randall Bakery in Wakefield.
Her memberships included the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir, the Immaculate Conception Women's Guild and the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce.
She loved animals, enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and dining out with friends. Anna-Marie was never happier than when she was with her family.
Her memory will never be lost to those who were lucky enough to know her.
Anna-Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Roger; two sons, Gerard (Lorrie) and Rick, both of Wakefield; two daughters, Toni-Ann (Jerry) Anderson, Wakefield, and Lorrene (John) Kohnhorst, Wausau, Wis.; her daughter-in-law, Gloria Randall, Wakefield; eight grandchildren, Todd (Kelly) Randall, Jeremy Anderson, Jarvis Randall, Melissa (Amos) Prisbe, Tiffany (Bruce) Dale, Torrina (Justin) Richards, Johnathan Anderson and Gerard Randall; seven great-grandchildren, Devin, Garrett, Kara, Harmony, Ty, Trooper and Kaelynn; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bernard Roger "Benny," on July 12, 2001; a brother, Dominic Pitrone; and five sisters, Lorraine Bugni, Frances Napel, Veronica Nunimaker, Sarah Merigian and Genevera Hunter.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wakefield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Revs. Joy J. Adimakkeel, Louis P. Bracket and Allan J. Mayotte concelebrating. Also in attendance will be the Immaculate Conception Women's Guild Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Rite of Committal and burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
A reception will be held in Father Daniel Hall following the cemetery service.
