Obituary

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Ann Marie Danielson, 65, of Ironwood, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer for the past 11 months. She was so brave, strong, fought so hard and remained optimistic throughout her entire sickness.

Ann was born on Jan. 15, 1959, in Ironwood, a daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Selves) Uremovich. She attended Ironwood schools.

Ann worked at The Liberty Bell Chalet in downtown Hurley, Wisconsin, for more than 30 years, as a waitress and hostess. She was known as "grandma," "gram," or "granny" to many.

Ann was a very humorous person and anyone who knew her had a funny story to tell. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Lake Gogebic that was built by her father. In her early adult years, Ann enjoyed ceramics, took great pride in her workmanship and had gifted many pieces. She looked forward to working crossword puzzles and playing games on her iPad to pass the time. Ann unconditionally loved her grandchildren and made sure to be present for all of their activities. She also loved her animal print and jewelry.

Ann is survived by her special friend of many years, Greg Vinci Sr.; three daughters, Amy (Joe) Danielson, Nikki (Gary) Killough and Jessica Danielson; a son, Gregory Vinci Jr. (Jensen); five grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Brenden Danielson, and Troy and Talan Harju; a dear sister, Marci Uremovich; a brother, Steve (Gloria) Uremovich; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Ryan Conhartoski; a great-nephew, Dylan Conhartoski; and her brother-in-law, Roman "Muzzy" Conhartoski.

In accordance with Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.

Please join the family on Friday, Oct. 18, beginning at 4 p.m., for a celebration of Ann's life at the Aurora Club, 101 Penokee Road, in Ironwood, for food, drinks, music and to share your favorite story.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of the health care professionals and anyone who helped Ann during her illness. We appreciate all that you did for our mother!
