WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Alfrieda Marie Mattila, 77, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, 2019.

Alfrieda's passions in life were her family and home, the love of animals and wildlife, fishing and camping. She took great pleasure cooking and baking for others.

Alfrieda is survived by two daughters, Dianna Semenak and Paula (Ricky) Doney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane "Butch," on Aug. 15, 2004; her son-in-law, Stephen Semenak, on Aug. 13, 2015; and a sister, Christine Hongisto, on Nov. 13, 2012.

Per Alfrieda's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held.

Dianna and Paula want to thank all the family and friends for their thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Alfrieda would want you to remember her as she was.
